11: Results
and selection criteria for the European finals
The results will be officially disclosed following the final tests, after deliberation by the jury, during an evening gala awards ceremony on 29 October 2010.
The winner of the Champagne Ambassador’s Awards 2010 will be named ‘Best Champagne Educator 2010 - European Grand Prize’
Two other awards will be presented :
- « Best Champagne Educator 2010 - Prix Spécial Jury »
- « Best Champagne Educator 2010 - Prix CIVC ».
The final ranking only takes into account the points acquired during the oral presentations of the European final and the evaluation of the members of the jury.

The candidate who performs best during the tests of the European
final.
• Selection criteria for the Jury’s Special
Prize
The candidate who received the second-best grades during the European
final.
• Selection criteria for the CIVC’s prize
The candidate who received the third-best grades at the European
final.

12: National
prizes
The national winners will receive:
• A national winner’s certificate
• A week in Champagne at the European finals,
worth 3,000 euros.
• 12 bottles of Champagne worth 250 euros
• 24 tasting flutes worth approximately
200 euros
The national finalists :
• a national finalist’s certificate
• 12 tasting flutes worth 100 euros
• 6 bottles of Champagne worth 150 euros

Best Champagne Educator 2008 - Grand Prix Européen
• A unique trophy worth 2,000 euros
• A certificate
• A Jeroboam of Champagne worth approximately 100 Euros
• A Champagne bucket worth approximately 700 euros
• Up to 800 Euro worth of educational aids for the promotion and teaching of Champagne. The organisation of these aids is the responsibility of the winner. The project must be presented to the local bureau for validation of project funding
Best Champagne Educator 2010 - Prix Spécial Jury
• A certificate
• A Champagne bucket worth approximately 700 euros
• A magnum of Champagne worth approximately 100 euros
• A selection of 36 bottles of Champagne to a value of 700 euros
Best Champagne Educator 2010 - CIVC Prize
• A certificate
• A Champagne bucket worth approximately 700 euros
• A magnum of Champagne worth approximately 100 euros
• A selection of 24 bottles of Champagne to a value of 500 euros.
The value given for each prize is the public retail value generally found on the market, it is given only as an indication.
The certificate has no academic value and cannot be used in Europe or worldwide as an official document of referral on behalf of the CIVC. With this certificate, candidates agree to defend and uphold the colours of Champagne. They agree to honour the recognition afforded by the CIVC in their profession and to never use their certificate for a purpose contrary to the reputation of Champagne.
These prizes cannot be disputed by the winners in any way, nor can they be substituted by a monetary award, or replaced or exchanged for any reason.
The CIVC retains the right to replace, entirely or in part, any of these prizes by others of equivalent value, if circumstances require, in particular if the item is even momentarily out of stock. The prizes include all of what is listed and nothing else.

14: Cases of
force majeure
The CIVC and its trade bureaux can not be held responsible in the event of a force majeure or if, independently of their will, this competition has to be modified, shortened, postponed or cancelled.
The CIVC rejects all responsibility in the case that the website is not available during the competition period or if the information provided by participants is destroyed by causes outside their control.
The CIVC retains in all cases the possibility of extending the participation period and postponing any event announced, even when not required.
Additions and – in case of force majeure – changes to these rules can be published during this competition. They will be considered appendices to the current rules.

15: Agreement
with the rules and registration
Participating in this competition implies full agreement with these
rules, which have contractual force.
The rules will be available on the www.ambassadeurschampagne.com
website and will be sent to anyone who requests them before the
end of the participation period. Requests should be sent in writing
to the competition’s address provided in article 1, with a
self-addressed and stamped envelope.

16: Applicable
law
The competition and the interpretation of its rules is subject to
French law.
Article
17: Information
and civil liberties act
Participants authorise the CIVC and/or its bureaus to publish their
names and the list of prizes won and to present and/or use their
photo with the indication of the name of its author on the www.ambassadeurschampagne.com
website and/or in the press, without this creating any rights for
the winners other than the prizes awarded. Each author keeps the
moral rights to his/her photography, and therefore the right to
have his/her name published alongside each publication of the said
photography.
The participants allow all verifications of their identities, contact
details and professional history. Any false declaration, identity
or address will lead to the immediate disqualification of the participation
and – where applicable – the reimbursement of monies
and prizes already received.
In agreement with the articles 38 and following of the French law
n° 7817 of January 6, 1978 on information science, files and
liberties, participants have a right to access, modify, rectify
and delete any data relating to them and held by CIVC, by writing
to the CIVC.
