The Champagne Ambassador’s Awards is organized by the Comité Interprofessionnel du Vin de Champagne, joint trade association, with head office at 5, rue Henri Martin, 51200 Epernay, in cooperation with its bureaux in the various participating countries, from 2 April - 29 October 2010.
The purpose of the competition is to recognise and reward the work of the candidates mentioned in Section 3 below.
The competition involves no use of chance. No sign-up fee is collected, and no purchase is required to participate..

2: Participating
countries
The eight eight participating countries are: Germany, Belgium, Spain, France, Great-Britain, Italy, The Netherlands’ and Switzerland.

3: Requirements
for participating
The competition is restricted to men and women aged 18 and over
working as wine educators in the following
organisations:
• public or private hotel/restaurant schools
• training centres
• wine appreciation societies
• wine consultancy
• wine publications
Candidates for the European award must work in the country they represent.
All candidates for the European award must be available for the national finals, organised between 5 – 21 September 2010 in their respective countries, and for the European final from 25 – 29 October 2010.
The following persons cannot participate
• The eight national finalists who have participated in the European final in Champagne in previous years.
• All persons working for a brand of Champagne or a trading company.
• Students
• All members of the national and/or European finals jury.
• Members of the management and personnel of the CIVC and/or
its trade bureaux
• Persons who, more generally, participate in the organisation
of this competition, as well as their family members.

Candidates can apply by filling on line or downloading the participation forms from April 2, 2010 at

Candidates are required to return the form – by email or by post - by midnight on 5 July 2010 to their national Champagne bureau.
