Created in 2005 by the Champagne Committee (CIVC), the Champagne Ambassador’s Awards is a unique competition in the wine world as it is only open to teachers and educators who conduct training activity involving Champagne, within a public or private hotel/restaurant school, a training centre, a wine appreciation club or a wine consultancy, and also to persons writing on Champagne (press articles, books, websites…). Any candidate applying to this competition must practice their activities within one of the eight participating countries : Germany, Belgium, Spain, France, Great Britain, Italy, The Netherlands and Switzerland.

The Champagne Committee (CIVC) aims to honour the professionals who are working for improved knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the Champagne wines in these eight European countries which are the main Champagne markets.
